covid-19 - update

5/20/20 - Tennis courts now open with restrictions.  Click HERE for details.

3/16/20 - Due to Governor Wolf’s announcement about closing recreation facilities surrounding COVID-19 the Borough is taking additional precautions to protect the health and safety of its residents. Effective, Monday, March 16, 2020 at 10:30 am, all Borough playgrounds, and basketball will be closed until further notice.

Lansdale Borough trails and open space will remain open to public access.

While using the Borough’s trails and open space, we encourage the community to practice maintaining a 6-foot distance from others. As the situation evolves, Lansdale Borough will continue to re-assess the status of our recreational facilities.

The health, safety, and welfare of Lansdale Borough residents is our greatest priority. We believe that by taking this step now, we will help protect the health and safety of our community by flattening the curve.

Pool 2020

It is hard to comprehend all the changes to our daily lives due to COVID-19, but it is safe to say that summer in Lansdale will look very different in 2020. With this in mind, the Parks & Recreation Committee along with staff discussed at last night’s Council Meeting how to handle opening of the Borough pools.

We will continue to monitor state mandates of when outdoor facilities will be permitted to open, but our pools will not open any earlier than July 1, 2020. Please note that neither pool will open unless we are permitted to do so and we can guarantee a process to keep our staff and members safe in all areas of our pool facilities. As we move closer to that date, we will analyze and adjust rates (both membership and daily access) as necessary. Families who have already purchased memberships and would like a refund can do so by contacting Joanne at for refund options. As more details are confirmed, we will share with the public on our website as well as our social medial channels.

Check out the lansdale library website for online resources.
