Madison Parking Lot Closes to Public Parking

To move forward with development, EQUUS will close the existing lot for public parking beginning Monday, October 16, 2017 Please reference the map below detailing specific areas of fencing along the project. SEPTA commuters may park for FREE in the SEPTA Parking Garage. Patrons of Main Street businesses may park in any of the nearby municipal surface lots: Vine Street Lot, West Main Street Lot and Walnut Street Lot.

Investments & Grants
The Madison Parking Lot project was made possible through the initial land transfer by council to the Parking Authority and the result is a $51 million investment by a private company in combination with $2.5 million in grants with the promise of more.

Through that we make significant progress on the Liberty Trail, we get a public gathering place, a police kiosk along with high end apartments and retail. 

A Destination for Work & Play


All of this gives our downtown the greater promise to be a destination for work and play. This is affirmed by the latest information from the County Comprehensive Planning process that states: “redevelopment and infill is still intensifying; most places are becoming mixed use and…..apartments are hot!”
